TOWN OF LENOX NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING SPRING LAWN MANSION - DEMOLITION DELAY REVIEW 10 KEMBLE STREET, PARCEL 7-22-5 Notice is hereby given that the Lenox Historical Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday October 20, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. in the Lenox Town Hall Auditorium pursuant to the Town of Lenox Demolition Delay Bylaw for Preservation of Historically Significant Buildings. The hearing concerns the proposed demolition of the Spring Lawn Mansion and two additional structures located at 10 Kemble Street, property owned by Spring Lawn Investors, LLC. The Historical Commission has previously determined that the Spring Lawn Mansion and the other structures proposed for demolition are Significant Buildings under the Demolition Delay Bylaw. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive information and public comment and to determine whether the buildings should be designated "Preferably Preserved." A determination that a building is Preferably Preserved would subject the proposed demolition to the 12-month demolition delay provided for under the bylaw. Written comments may be submitted by email to landuse@townoflenox.com or mailed to the Land Use Department, Lenox Town Hall, 6 Walker Street, Lenox, MA 01240.
