Heirs and Estate of Doris Bastien and Bruce Bastien, Defendants. GREETING: WHEREAS, a suit has been begun against you, entitled as above, wherein the plaintiff seeks, among other things, that the defendants or anyone claiming through them be forever restrained and foreclosed from making any claim to the surplus proceeds available subsequent to a foreclosure sale on property owned by Doris Bastien, whose heirs are parts unknown, which property was located at46 Summer Street, Williamstown, Berkshire County, Massachusetts, by virtue of a certain Leonard H. Alberts and Marjorie E. Alberts to Louis E. Bastien and Doris Bastien dated May 25, 1971, and recorded with the Berkshire County (Northern District) Registry of Deeds in Book 639, Page 465. Upon information and belief, Louis E. Bastien passed away on February 6, 2007, in Albany, Albany County, New York, and Doris Bastien passed away on September 22, 2024, in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts. TAKE NOTICE, if you intend to make any defense or claim to the surplus proceeds, that on June 5, 2026, which is the return day of this notice, or within such further time as the law allows, you must cause your written appearance to be entered and your answer or other pleading to be filed in the office of the Clerk of said Court at Pittsfield, in said County first above-named; and further that you must defend against said suit according to law, if you intend to make any defense or claims to the surplus proceeds. In the event that the surplus proceeds funds are not claimed, such sunders will be paid to the Court and turned over to the Commonwealth as unclaimed funds.
