INVITATION FOR BIDS: The Town of Cheshire, MA will accept sealed bids per MGL Ch30, 39M from qualified contractors for Road Improvements. Contractor must be prequalified by MassDOT in either Pavement-Reclamation or Pavement-Surfacing in the amount of $903,371. Sealed bids marked "Cheshire Road Improvements Bid" with required 5% bid bond may be submitted to the TOWN OF CHESHIRE, MA, 191 Church St, Cheshire, MA 01225 no later than May 12, 2026 at 2pm at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Prevailing wage per MGL Ch 149, 26 - 27f inclusive, applies and the awarded contractor will supply 50% Labor and Materials Payment Bond. A MANDATORY prebid meeting will be on April 29, 2026 at 10am, starting at Town Office, 191 Church St. Qualified bidders who are Minority/Women/Disadvantaged Owned Business Enterprises are encouraged to apply. Awarded contractor shall endeavor to meet Workforce Participation Goal Requirements under M.G.L. c. 149, 44A(2)(G).
