NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR ACQUISITION FOR MERGER OF BANK HOLDING COMPANY MountainOne Financial, MHC, North Adams, Massachusetts and MountainOne Financial, Inc., North Adams, Massachusetts, have applied to the Federal Reserve Board for permission to merge with Mechanics Bancorp, MHC, Taunton, Massachusetts, and Mechanics Bancorp, Inc., Taunton, Massachusetts. We intend to acquire control of Mechanics Cooperative Bank, Taunton, Massachusetts. The Federal Reserve considers a number of factors in deciding whether to approve the application, including the record of performance of banks we own in helping to meet local credit needs.
