TOWN OF BECKET, COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING: Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, Ch. 40A, section 5 and 11. A Public Hearing will be held by the Planning Board at the Becket Town Hall, in the Community Room, 557 Main Street Becket, MA. 01223 on August 13, 2025, at 6:00pm to review the proposed changes to the Town of Becket By-Laws, General By-Laws and inform residents about the proposed warrant article for an upcoming Special Town Meeting to be held September 20, 2025: (1.) By adding Section 6.9, Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU) to the Becket Zoning By-Laws. (2.) To see if the Town will vote to amend Article 17 Conservation Commission of the 2025 Town of Becket By-Laws by amending Section 3 to read: The Commission shall consist of seven members and two alternate members to be appointed to staggered (3) three-year terms. (3.) Proposed warrant article for Special Town Meeting, the article seeks authorization for the expenditure of up to ($5,000,000) Five Million dollars for the repair and restoration of paved roads within the town.
