City of North Adams Brown Street Bridge Beams Ends Encasement Project BID # NA-2025-017 LEGAL AD The City of North Adams, through its Department of Public Services (DPS), the Awarding Authority, is seeking sealed bids from qualified contractors for bridge repair services for the Brown Street Bridge Beam Ends Encasement Project located at Bridge #N-14-007 - Brown Street over the Hoosic River in North Adams, Massachusetts. This is a bridge preservation project with an estimated construction cost of $350,000. The contract time for final completion is ninety (90) calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed. All bidders must be pre-qualified by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) Highway Division in the classification of Bridge - Construction. Pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 149, Sections 26-27H, prevailing wage rates apply. Sealed bids will be received until 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the Office of Procurement, City Hall, 10 Main Street, Room 107, North Adams, MA 01247, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked: "Bid # NA-2025-017 - Brown Street Bridge Beam Ends Encasement Project" Mailed bids should be addressed to the Office of Procurement at the address listed above and must be received no later than the stated deadline. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Deposit equal to 5% of the total bid amount, including all alternates, payable to the City of North Adams. Work is anticipated to begin as soon as practicable following contract execution.
