City of North Adams MassWorks FY25 Sidewalk Improvements Project Bid # NA-2025-016 The City of North Adams, through its Department of Public Services (DPS), the Awarding Authority, is seeking bids from qualified contractors for roadway and associated infrastructure improvements for its MassWorks FY25 Sidewalk Improvements, which includes Hoosac Street, Blackinton Street, Montana Street, and Porter Street. The project is estimated to cost $1,100,000 and the total number of days to Final Completion is estimated to be ninety (90) days. Contractors must be pre-qualified by the MassDOT's Highway Division under the category of Highway - Sidewalk and Curbing Class in order to be an eligible bidder. Wages are subject to Massachusetts minimum wage rates as per M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H inclusive. Sealed bids will be received until 11:00 am, Monday, July 14, 2025 at the City of North Adams Office of Procurement, 10 Main St., North Adams, MA 01247, after which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids shall be filed in a sealed envelope bearing the title "Bid # NA-2025-016" and delivered pursuant to the project's instructions. Mailed Bids should be sent to the City of North Adams Office of Procurement, 10 Main St., Room 201, North Adams, MA 01247 and received no later than the date and time specified above. General bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all Alternates) and made payable to the City of North Adams. Work is anticipated to start as soon as practical. Contract documents are available for examination at the Department of Public Services, 59 Hodges Cross Road, North Adams, Massachusetts 01247 but must be coordinated with Timothy Lescarbeau, Commissioner of Public Services, or online free of charge at www.biddocs.com (may be viewed and downloaded electronically at no cost and hardcopy requested). Schematic Plans and Technical Specifications with the required Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available on Wednesday, June 25 at 12:00 pm by download request at www.biddocsonline.com. Deposits may be electronically paid or must be a check. Additional sets may be purchased for $50.00. Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $40.00 per set for UPS Ground, or $65.00 per set for UPS overnight, payable to BidDocs ONLINE, Inc. to cover mail handling costs. The lowest qualified and most responsible bidder shall be awarded the project subject to the availability of construction funding.
