Commonwealth of Massachusetts Town of New Marlborough INVITATION TO BID RESURFACE VARIOUS ROADS-2026 The Town of New Marlborough, acting through the Board of Selectmen, will accept sealed bids to Resurface Various Roads-2026. MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as pavement-surfacing for the project will be required. The project will consist of reclaiming and resurfacing Mill River Southfield Road and Lumbert Cross Road. The project will require 2,352 tons of binder. All materials and workmanship are to meet the latest MassDOT specifications. The contract contains a price adjustment provision for liquid asphalt mixture which will be determined at the bid opening. Bid packages will be available at the Highway Department Mon-Fri 8 am to noon beginning Wed May 14, 2025; by calling (413)229-8165 or by emailing a request to LWORTH@NEWMARLBOROUGHMA.GOV. Sealed bids will be accepted until 11 am Wed May 28, 2025 at the Highway Department, P.O. Box 99/603 Mill River Southfield Road, Mill River, MA 01244, at which time they will be opened and read aloud. The Select Board is the awarding authority and reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive minor informalities or irregularities in any bid, and to make an award in any manner consistent with the law and deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
