INVITATION FOR BIDS TOWN OF LANESBOROUGH BRODIE MOUNTAIN ROAD SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS AND RESURFACING PROJECT The Town of Lanesborough will accept sealed bids for Brodie Mountain Road Safety Improvements and Resurfacing Project in Lanesborough, MA. The work will include pavement milling, resurfacing, curbing, highway guards, markings, and related work. THIS BID DOCUMENT IS TO BE CONSIDERED UNOFFICIAL AND INFORMATIONAL ONLY UNLESS THE BIDDER MEETS MASSDOT PREQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS. Prequalification Category is HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION Project Value 1,503,429.50 Sealed bids, plainly marked "Lanesborough - Brodie Mountain Road Bid" shall be received at the Board of Selectmen Office, 83 North Main Street, Lanesborough, MA 01237 until April 30, 2025 at 1 pm at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Results will be summarized and an award recommendation forwarded to the Lanesborough Board of Selectmen for consideration. Prevailing wage per MGL Ch 149, 26 - 27f inclusive, applies. The bid is being undertaken per MGL Ch 30 39M requiring a 5% bid bond deposit. The project is funded by a MassWorks Grant under the Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development and availability of Town funds. Qualified bidders who are Minority/Women/Disadvantaged Owned Business Enterprises (M/W\/D/BE) are encouraged to apply. Other qualified bidders are encouraged to partner with disadvantaged businesses. The awarded contractor shall endeavor to meet Workforce Participation Goal Requirements under M.G.L. c. 149, 44A(2)(G) which are currently 6.9% for women and 15.3% for minorities. The Contractor must agree to comply with all applicable Federal, State and local statutes, rules, and regulations, prohibiting discrimination in employment.
