TOWN OF ALFORD PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE SOLAR ENERGY SYSTEMS ZONING BYLAW Pursuant to G.L. c. 40A, s. 5, the Alford Planning Board will hold a public hearing at 6:00 PM on November 1, 2018, at the Alford Town Hall at 5 Alford Center Road, to allow public review and comment on a proposed revision of the Alford Zoning Bylaw adding Section 8.2 and amending Section 6.1 regulating solar energy systems. This proposed revision will regulate the placement of both ground-mounted and roof-mounted solar energy systems within the Town of Alford. These systems are classified as either small, medium or large-scale depending on their size and the amount of electricity they generate. These systems will either be allowed by right through a building permit, require site plan review or require a special permit.
