Pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 149, Williamstown Fire Department (WFD) is initiating a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Filed Sub-Bid and General Contractor Prequalification for the construction of a new $16.5M fire station on Main Street in Williamstown, MA. THIS IS A 2ND REQUEST FOR TRADES WHERE LESS THAN 3 SOQ SUBMISSIONS WERE RECIVED IN THE INITIAL REQUEST. Only Filed Sub Bid and General Contractors who are prequalified by WFD will be invited to and eligible to submit bids for the Building Project. The file sub trades that resubmission is being requested on are: Masonry, Misc Metals, Resilient Flooring, Terrazzo, Tile, Elevators, Fire Protection, Plumbing and Electrical. The submission deadline for Submittal of Qualifications (SOQ) application packages in response to the RFQ is Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at 2:00 pm. SOQ response packages can be hand delivered to WFD at 34 Water Street in Williamstown or by mail to Williamstown Fire Department, Attn: Craig Pedercini, 34 Water St, Williamstown, MA 01267. The bid documents will be issued in early January 2024 with construction starting on or about March 15, 2024. The owner is WFD, the designer is EDM Studio, and the OPM is Skanska USA.
