INVITATION FOR BIDS The Community Development Department for the Town of Adams, Massachusetts invites sealed bids for: COAL & GRAIN PARK PROJECT Project involves construction of a new park at 1 Cook Street in Adams. The park will include an off-leash dog area, a plaza, green spaces, a pollinator garden, sitting areas and a central walkway. Work will include demolition, site regrading, installation of new drainage, electrical conduit, grass, stone and other surface treatments, stabilization and restoration of various concrete structures, fencing, installation of site furniture and seating, and associated work. Bidders are invited to a pre-bid conference and site walkthrough on March 23 at 8:30 am at 1 Cook Street, Adams MA 01220. Bids will be accepted at the Town Administrator's Office, 8 Park Street, 2nd Floor, Adams, MA 01220 by mail or can be hand-delivered to the office or via the drop box in front of Adams Town Hall until 4:00 pm, Thursday, April 6, 2023, at which time they will be publicly opened and read. Bids are subject to the minimum wage rates per MGL, c. 149, Sections 26-27H, inclusive and Federal Labor Standard Provisions 29 CFR 5.5. A bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid must accompany the Bid. Bidders must use the approved bid form and mark: "ADAMS BID #23-006: COAL & GRAIN PARK PROJECT" on the outside of the sealed envelope. This project is subject to the provisions of MGL, c. 30, Section 39M. The Town of Adams reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids if deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
