Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission NOTICE OF PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF REGULATIONS AND PUBLIC HEARING The Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) proposes to amend its regulations under the authority of M.G.L. c. 6 75 and 78 and pursuant to M.G.L. c. 30A. A virtual public hearing will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM as well as an in-person public hearing on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 10:00AM to 2:00PM at the MRC Worcester office located at 50 Southwest Cutoff, Suite 1A, Worcester, MA 01604 relative to the adoption of these regulations. MRC describes the substance of the proposed actions as amendments to regulations found at: 107 CMR 11.00: Home Care Assistance Program The proposed amendments will broaden access and expand the scope of services available for individuals with disabilities who seek to maintain independent living within their homes and communities through the Home Come Assistance Program. The proposed amendments also include revisions to the program appeals process. It is anticipated that these amendments will not go into effect before January 20, 2023. There is no fiscal impact on cities and towns. To join the virtual hearing on the phone, call (646) 931-3860 and enter passcode: 606227 All persons desiring to submit written testimony, data, views, or arguments instead of, or in addition to, live testimony, concerning these proposed actions may submit them in writing to the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission, c/o Molly Karp, 600 Washington Street, 2nd Floor, Boston, MA 02111, or email them to molly.karp@mass.gov. Emailed comments must include the sender's full name, mailing address, and organization or affiliation, if any. Comments will be accepted through 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.
