City of North Adams Phase II Spitzer Senior Center Improvements Bid # "NA-2021-005 The City of North Adams, Massachusetts, through its Office of Community Development (OCD), the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the PHASE II Spitzer Senior Center Improvements as located at 116 Ashland Street in North Adams, MA, in accordance with the documents prepared by Caolo & Bieniek Associates, Inc., Chicopee, MA 01020. The Project consists of installation of new HVAC system, new electrical power and lighting to support HVAC system and ceiling modifications, new fire alarm system, partial window replacement, framed soffits, new mechanical closet, new motorized operable partition in enlarged new opening with structural steel lintel and associated masonry work, gutter and downspout modifications, and chain link fence modifications. The work is estimated to cost $422,000. The total number of days to Final Completion is set at one hundred fifty (150) days. Wages are subject to Massachusetts minimum wage rates as per M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H inclusive, and federal minimum wage rates pursuant to the Davis-Bacon Act, whichever pays more. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work -- General Building Construction and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime Update Statement (Form CQ 3). The lowest qualified and most responsible bidder shall be awarded the project subject to the availability of funding.
