The work is recommended to remove hazard trees and prune for additional clearance in order to reduce tree outage problems affecting large numbers of customers served by these main lines. National Grid's arborists have identified fifty-two (52) town/municipal trees for removal and one (1) trim along Berkshire School Road and ROW off Miller Avenue. Town trees located within the public way that are designated for removal have been posted with a notice of public hearing in the field. A complete list of town trees designated for removal or pruning including information about the location, size and species of the affected trees and the reason for work proposed, is available on Town of Sheffield's website, in the Post Office at 99 Main St, Sheffield and the Town Hall at the Selectmen's office during normal business hours.
