ADVERTISEMENT - INVITATION TO BID FOR PITTSFIELD HOUSING AUTHORITY - COLUMBIA ARMS APARTMENTS REPAIR/REPLACE FIRE DOORS MI-2883-002 The Pittsfield Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the repair/replacement of fire doors and/or hardware at Columbia Arms Apartments and Administrative offices for the Pittsfield Housing Authority in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by Hill-Engineers, Architects, Planners, Inc.. The Project consists of: Repair/Replace Fire Door assemblies in accordance with NFPA 80 guidelines. The work is estimated to cost $200,000 Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 26 to 27H inclusive and Federal Davis Bacon wage determination and shall pay the higher of the two rates. General Bids will be received until Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at 2:00PM and publicly opened, forthwith. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the category of General Building Construction and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. Pursuant to HUD Public Housing Development Rule, 24 CFR Ch. IX 941.503(d), whenever any prevailing wage rate determined under Massachusetts law exceeds the corresponding federally determined wage rate on this project, the Massachusetts rate is inapplicable to the contract and shall not be enforced against the contractor or any subcontractor with respect to employees engaged under the contract.
