Special Permit Public Hearing Town of Florida The Florida Selectmen will hold a Special Permit Public Hearing on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 5:30pm at the Florida Town Hall, 379 Mohawk Trail, Drury, MA 01343. The applicant, New England Wind LLC, is seeking to amend the special permit issued on February 23, 2004 pursuant to the Zoning Bylaw Section 4.1.7 and G.L. c. 40A, 9 to allow the ""Hoosac Wind Project" consisting of the construction, operation, and maintenance of up to 12 wind turbines in Florida (as well as eight in the Town of Monroe) and related access roads, transformers, interconnection cables, an operation and maintenance building, and stormwater management structures. The applicant is seeking an amendment to widen the turn radius at Tilda Hill Road and Crum Hill Road and the modification of three existing culverts. The purpose of the Special Permit Public Hearing is to provide an opportunity for the Town Residents and the abutters to comment on the proposed amendment to the Special Permit.
