GREAT BARRINGTON FIRE DISTRICT GREAT BARRINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Bids for the construction of the "Great Barrington Fire District Interconnection with Housatonic Water Works Company" will be received at the Great Barrington Fire District located at 17 East Street, Great Barrington, MA 01230, until Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. local time. At that date, at 4:30 p.m. local time, the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. Bids from Subcontractors will be received by the Great Barrington Fire District located at 17 East Street, Great Barrington, MA 01230 until Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. At that date, at 4:30 p.m. local time, the Sub-Bids received will be publicly opened and read. Sub-Bids with the required Bid deposit will be received for the following items of work: Painting, HVAC, and Electrical Work. The work consists of site preparation, grading, loam and seed, and landscaping at the site on Christian Hill Road, bituminous concrete driveway and parking area, stormwater swales and rip-rap outlet control, pre-engineered metal building and foundation; person doors, overhead sectional door, insulated wall panels, security system, interior and exterior lighting, and electrical; interior partitioned bathroom; interior partitioned room with double doors for equipment; masonry wall, insulated, heated, ventilated, lighting, and electrical, duplex pump skid with controls, radio and antenna communications, pressure reducing valve and bypass, standby diesel generator with fenced enclosure and bollards, new electrical service and telecommunication service to building. Bid Alternate No. 1 includes the installation of approximately 630 linear feet of 8-inch water main with valves and hydrant assembly and sample line. Bid Alternate No. 2 includes approximately 80 linear feet of 4-inch water main, valves, and a water truck fill station complete with piping, enclosure, concrete pad and fencing. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. All Bids for this project are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, Section 44A - 44J inclusive as amended.
