NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD CITY OF PITTSFIELD DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DE IELOPMENT AMENDMENT TO THE HUD YEAR 2026 CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL ACTION PLAN Notice is hereby given that the City of Pittsfield, through its Department of Community Development, is proposing to amend the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Consolidated Annual Action Plan for Program Year 2026. The purpose of this amendment is to re-allocate $100,000 from previously identified projects into a Park Improvement activity at Dorothy Amos Park (320 West Street) for basketball court replacement Federal regulations and the City's Citizen Participation Plan require the publishing of notice and a 30 day public comment period to allow members of the public opportunity to comment before submission of the proposed amendment to U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and enactment of the proposed changes. A Summary of the proposed changes are as follows: Activities with Funding Reduction Neighborhood Cleanup PY26 $ 5,000 Economic Development Technical Assistance PY26 $ 20,000 Affordable Housing - Preservation Multi-Family PY25 $ 75,000 Activity with Funding Increase Park Improvement: Dorothy Amos Park PY26 $ 100,000 The 30 Day public comment period will begin Friday October 30th 2026 and will end at 4:00 PM November 28th 2026 Comments may be submitted in writing by email to njoyner@pittsfieldma.gov or phone to 413-499-9368, or by mail to the address identified below.
