TOWN OF BECKET COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL MEETING Notice of Public Hearing Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, Ch. 40A, section 5 and 11, a Public Hearing will be held by the Planning Board at the Becket Town Hall, 557 Main Street Becket, MA. 01223 on March 20, 2025, at 6:00pm to review the proposed changes to the Town of Becket By-Laws: (1) to the Table of Contents Section 3.1.1 and the Table of Use Regulations Section 3.1.3., and Section 6.0 Special Regulations, by adding Section 6.9, Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU) to the Becket Zoning By-Laws. (2) To review and gain public input on amendments to Sections 3.1.1,3.1.3,3.4.3, 3.4.4, 3.4.5 of the Becket Zoning By-Laws. These amendments seek to clarify the permitting process for residents. They do not substantially change the intent of Section 3 overall. (3) Establish a new General By-Law to be known as Becket Outdoor Lighting By-Law. The goal of this bylaw is to establish outdoor lighting standards for new residential, commercial and municipal outdoor lighting fixtures. (4) To review and gain public input on amending the following Sections of the General By-Laws: By-Law Article 2 Elected Town Officials-Section 9, By-Law Article 4 General Procedure-Section 10, By-Law Article 5 Select Board Members- Section 11. Interested parties shall be given an opportunity to be heard.
