CITY OF PITTSFIELD NOTICE OF ZONING AMENDMENT PUBLIC HEARINGS PITTSFIELD COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BOARD AND PITTSFIELD CITY COUNCIL The City of Pittsfield in accordance with the provision of M.G.L Chapter 40A, Section 5, as amended, hereby gives notice to all interested parties that public hearings will be held on a petition to amend Chapter 23 Article 23-2 Section 2.2, "Glossary", and Article 23-9 Section 9.101 "Restrictions, Accessory Buildings or Uses" to add a definition in Section 2.2 for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) and to amend Section 9.101 by adding language accommodating the creation of ADUs. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon enactment. The first required public hearing will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 6:00 PM by the Community Development Board and conducted through the Zoom Platform - access information can be found on the posted agenda or by contacting the Department of Community Development or the City Clerk's Office. The second required public hearing will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 6:00 PM by the City Council, in the City Council Chambers at Pittsfield City Hall. The application is on file with the Department of Community Development Office, Room 205, City Hall, and may be viewed during regular hours (Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.).
