TOWN OF STOCKBRIDGE INVITATION TO BID The Town of Stockbridge, acting through its Highway Department, invites sealed bids from contractors approved by the Massachusetts Dept. of Transportation for the Averic Road East Bridge Replacement & Related Work project. The work to be performed includes removal of existing bridge structure and replacement with a precast concrete box culvert approx. 32'L x 20'W x 9'H, including water control, and related work. A Bid Proposal Package for this project, which contains detailed specifications, bid form and other pertinent information, is available electronically after 2:00pm on January 13, 2021 by email request to mmessana@foresightland.com Sealed bids are due at Stockbridge Town Hall by 2:00 PM on Thurs. February 18, 2021, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Only prospective bidders who are prequalified for this project by MassDOT will be entitled to bid on this project. The estimated project value is $700,000. Prospective bidders should only submit a bid that is within the limit which they are pre-qualified for by MassDOT. Bids submitted that exceed the contractor's qualified limit per MassDOT will not be accepted. The work under this contract shall be subject to the provisions of Chapter 30, Section 39M of the Massachusetts General Laws. Wages are subject to Massachusetts's minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D, inclusive. All applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and rules shall be observed. The Town of Stockbridge reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, to waive any informality in the bids received, and to accept the bid deemed to be most favorable to the best interest of the Town. The bidder agrees that its bid shall be good and not withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days, Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays excluded, after the date of opening the bids.
