TOWN OF LENOX Zoning Board of Appeals Notice of Public Hearing Notice is hereby given that on Wednesday March 18th 2026 at 7pm the Lenox ZBA will hear the petition of Edith Wharton Restoration d/b/a The Mount for property at 2 Plunkett Street (Map 1, Parcel 5) in the R1A Zoning District. The petitioner is requesting a variance under 7.2.2 and 7.2.5 of the Zoning Bylaw to seek relief from the maximum sign area requirement. Due to the property's size and its location along route 7 and Plunkett Street, the two proposed signs must be larger than the permitted maximum of 2 square feet in order to be clearly visible to passing traffic. The applicant is also requesting a special permit under 5.3.2 to construct a utility barn on the pre-existing, nonconforming-use property. The proposed barn will serve as a maintenance facility and will replace five existing storage containers currently located on the site. The application materials are on file with the Lenox Town Clerk for viewing during normal business hours, and on the Town of Lenox Zoning Board of Appeals website.
