Public Notice Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection Division of Wetlands and Waterways 100 Cambridge St., Suite 900 Boston, MA 02114 Pursuant to 33 U.S.C. 1341 and M.G.L. c. 21 43, notice is given of a Water Quality Certification application for Statewide Utility Maintenance and Operations Activities by Eversource Energy, 247 Station Drive, Westwood, MA 02090. Eversource Energy performs routine maintenance, repair, and replacement activities on its existing aboveground and subsurface utility lines as well as at associated utility facilities and along access roads to these facilities within its existing rights-of-way (ROW) throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Eversource Energy is requesting comprehensive authorization under a Section 401 Water Quality Certificate for activities that result in the discharge of dredged or fill material associated with routine maintenance, repair, or replacements; such as replacement of utility poles, placement of construction mats, or overhead line work. These activities are authorized by the United States Army Corps of Engineers under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and applicable Nationwide Permits (NWPs). Written comments should be sent to the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, Wetlands Program, Attention Christina Y. Wu at christina.y.wu@mass.gov (preferred) or by mail to 100 Cambridge Street, Suite 900, Boston, MA 02114, within twenty-one (21) days of this notice. The Department will consider all written comments on this Application received in accordance with the Public Comment deadline above. Any group of ten persons, any aggrieved person, or any governmental body or private organization with a mandate to protect the environment who submits written comments may appeal the Department's Certification. Failure to submit written comments before the end of the public comment period may result in the waiver of any right to an adjudicatory hearing. Ad# 102077 05/21/2026
