Chapter 91 Waterways License/Permit Application Number 21-WW01-0018-APP Applicant: URJ Crane Lake Camp Project Location: 40 State Line Road, West Stockbridge, Berkshire County Public Comments Deadline: As Specified Below NOTIFICATION DATE: January 30, 2023 Public Notice is hereby given of the Chapter 91 License/Permit Application by the URJ Crane Lake Camp to maintain two (2) seasonal swimming docks totaling 1,186 square feet in area; install temporary buoys for pond raking demarcation and safety float lines to demarcate public swimming area; install two (2) public access signages along the shoreline, and remove invasive aquatic plants/dredging 240 cubic yards of lake bottom organic material/ sediment over an area of 75,000 square feet in and on waters of Crane Lake at 40 State Line Road in the Town of West Stockbridge, Berkshire County. The proposed project has been determined to be Water-Dependent. Written comments on the Chapter 91 Permit Application must be sent within fifteen (15) days of this Notice and written comments on the Chapter 91 License Application must be sent within thirty (30) days of this Notice to: Susan You, MassDEP-BWR Waterways Regulation Program, 100 Cambridge Street, 9th Floor, Boston, MA 02114 or via email to: susan.you@mass.gov The Department will consider all written comments on this Combined Application received by the respective Public Comments Deadlines. Failure of any aggrieved person or group of ten (10) citizens or more to submit written comments as specified above will result in the waiver of any right to an adjudicatory hearing in accordance with 310 CMR 9.13(4)(c). The group of citizens must include no less than five (5) citizens who are residents of the municipality in which the proposed project is located. A public hearing may be held upon request by the Municipal Official.
