Project Title: LENOX LIBRARY STRUCTURAL STABILIZATION AND RESTORATION Project Description: The Town of Lenox, ("Town"), acting through its Permanent Building Committee, invites qualified firms to submit bids for the Lenox Library Structural Stabilization and Restoration Project. The Project consists of all labor, materials, equipment, appliances, services, and incidentals necessary for layout, installing, and performing Lenox Library Structural Stabilization and Restoration at the Lenox Library, located at 18 Main Street, Lenox, MA 01240. The Work consists of structural stabilization of the existing framing over the domed ceiling in the Library's Dome Room; restoration and repair of the existing ornamental plaster dome ceiling; decorative painting of the restored plaster domed ceiling; replacement of dry pipe sprinkler system in attic over Dome Room and Reading Room; replacement of selected HVAC components in attic over Dome Room and adjacent offices; masonry restoration at roof, including rebuilding brick chimneys, repointing brick, brick replacement, masonry cleaning; and select areas of sheet metal roofing replacement. The bid package will be posted 6/30/2022 at Repro Systems Inc., 20 Yorkshire Ave, Pittsfield, MA 01201; pre-bid walkthrough is 7/11/2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the front entrance of the Library. Filed sub bids are due 7/28/2022 and GC bids due 8/04/2022, each to be delivered to the Town Manager's Office, Town of Lenox, 6 Walker Street, Lenox, MA 01240.
