ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS SUNRISE STREET DRAINAGE PROJECT The Town of Lanesborough invites sealed bids for construction of a catch basin and approximately 140 linear feet of drainage piping between 39 & 41 Sunrise Street in accordance with the documents prepared by Guntlow & Associates, Inc. The Project consists of minor site preparation, installation of catch basin, piping, reinforced grass swale, associated stone work and appurtenant work associated to improvements of the drainage. The work is estimated to cost $22,000. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 26 to 27H inclusive. The project is subject to the provisions of MGL, Chapter 30, Section 39M. The project workers shall also be OSHA 10 Certified. Sealed Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five percent (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount, and made payable to the Town of Laneborough. A Payment Bond for 50% of the amount of the Contract will be required of the successful Bidder. Complete instructions for bidding are included in the Instructions for Bidders. A pre-bid conference will be held at the site on May 11, 2022, 10:00am. Sealed Bids will be received until 11:00 a.m., Wednesday , May 25 , 2022, and shall be clearly marked "BID FOR SUNRISE STREET DRAINAGE PROJECT 2022" and will be publicly opened, forthwith at the Town Offices, 83 North Main Street, Lanesborough, MA. Contract Documents may also be examined at the Town of Laneborough, Town Hall Lanesborough, MA, between 8:00am-12:00pm, Monday through Thursday. Each bidder may obtain one set of the contract documents by payment of a refundable deposit of $10 per set, in the form of a certified, treasurer's or cashier's check, payable to the Town of Lanesborough. This deposit will be refunded upon return of the sets in good condition within thirty calendar days after the closing date for general bids. Additional sets may be purchased for $10 per set (non-refundable). Bidders requesting Contract Documents by mail shall include an additional non-refundable check made payable to Town of Lanesborough in the amount of $10 per set to cover the direct costs of shipping and handling.
